Honoring the ‘sports’ girl title of my brand, enjoy our first sporty talk. 🏈🏀🥊 🏈 Had to start by saying: Hey Ey Ey Eeey, the Bills ginalky dropped the Chiefs from their perfect pedestal this year, I know all the other teams’s fans are thanking us. Sorry Taylor’s bf’s team 🤗 🥊 Tyson vs Paul, if you watched it you know the streaming sucked but the fight sucked harder. We were for the most of us rooting for Tyson, but the whole thing was just horrible. I did however, liked the statement Mike posted afterwards and I agree with him, he was a winner in all of this. 🏀 I’m not a basketball fan but I can’t deny Lebron’s genius, what the man is doing at this level at his age is nothing short of phenomenal. Soooo, there we have it. I feel so weird and excited about posting my sports opinions here again. Grab your vodka, ginger beer and lime juice and you’ll have ‘The Perfect GameDay Mule’. Okay, what ingredient am I talking about? Beer 🍺 You heard me right, the perfect way to bring an already beloved classic into the world of sports? Just add the most consumed beverage during sports games. A beer float in addition to ginger beer will tie everything together, making this mule sporty approved. To make this work, your beer will need to have a zing, so reach for a bigger bodied beer, like a hazy IPA. The peppery taste of ginger will still be present but in this sporty version of a mule, it’s gonna share the spotlight with beer when we top off the cocktail. And there you have it, an amazing, conversation starter option for a gameday cocktail! Buzz into the hive of flavor with this ‘Bee’s Buzz into the hive of flavor with this ‘Bee’s Knees’ twist - it’s the bee-ginning of a hot honey, lavender love affair! 🐝🍯💛 This classic may have originated in Paris in the early 20’s, but prohibition in the U.S. made it a star. ⭐️ Honey and lemon covered the taste of cheap gin, and a strong pour numbed the sting of the depression. But this riff is no cover for discount spirits! With hot honey and lavender simple syrup, fresh lemon and crafted gin, each ingredient complements the next. The changes are subtle, but the flavors are NOT. Btw, if you want my recipe for the lavender simple, just let me know 😉 Variety may be the spice of life, but spice is the variety this classic needed! The lavender ties in perfectly with the citrus and the botanicals from the gin, and the heat is the chef’s kiss. Another Friday another Sporty Sips episode for y’all. This one is a super easy party hack. By now we all have seen one or two videos with the viral can top opener, right? But something you may have missed are these cute Shirley temple cans from @7up, so I thought, let’s make it adult friendly and perfect to be served to guests with a sweet tooth 🍒 I paired the sugar free version with a sugar free strawberry and rose vodka by @smirnoff and the flavors complemented each other very well. Btw, you can use whichever vodka you have at home, that’s the beauty of this hack. This is a different way to make things interesting for your parties and once the drink is done, just toss it. 🎃The final countdown for Halloween is here and 🎃The final countdown for Halloween is here and when the veil on earth is thinner than ever, and all the otherworldly creatures are around, my next drink seemed to be juuuuuust right. 👹 ‘Mojito Del Diablo’ 👹 I made this Halloween mojito twist with Colombian vodka my dear friend Maria brought me after she travelled back home and a little kick from fresh Fresno chiles, a perfect devilish take on this cocktail. If you were wondering if mojito could be made spooky enough to enjoy during Halloween, I think the little devil horns are the answer you need. Welcome guys to the first episode of Sporty Sips. Welcome guys to the first episode of Sporty Sips. I’ve been dying to start a series where I bring you ideas for drinks that are perfect for any sporting get-togethers. Whether that be drinks sports fans are already drinking while watching a game or creations that’ll impress anyone you might have over. So, let me know what you’d like to see, if there is a drink you’ve been dying to try but think won’t go well during a game, I’ll find a way to fix that. Up first, it’s the Zamboni cocktail. As the name suggests, it’s a hockey drink but make it elevated but not crazy complicated cause the star is the game that’s gonna be on tv (ideally or where the Golden Knights are winning 😉). I got something sweet and scary good to start the I got something sweet and scary good to start the week. 🍋‍🟩 Boo-Zilian Passion Fruit Lemonade 🍋‍🟩 And yes, it’s technically a “limeade”, but in Brazil, limes are what we call lemon and lemon we call, Sicilian lemon (don’t ask me why, we just do lol) What makes the Brazilian lemonade different is the fact that we use condensed milk to make things sweeter and we use the fruit whole, peel and pith included. To make it even more Brazilian, I added passion fruit liqueur in the mix, making it similar to what a passion fruit caipirinha would be! (should I make one next?! 🧐😉). The ‘boo’ part in this beverage comes from this cute marshmallow ghost trend, I just couldn’t get it out of my head. If you’d like to kick things up a notch, you can easily add your favorite booze to this recipe! Btw, thanks @the.boozy.ginger for the inspo for this garnish. Boo-Zilian Passion Fruit Lemonade * 4 limes * 2cups of cold water Blend and strain out the solids Add liquid back in blender with 2oz of passion fruit liqueur. Add half a can of condensed milk (more or less depending on personal taste), blend with ice. Tip: take peels and pith off if you don’t want it the lemonade to be a little bitter, also, while blending the limes with water, don’t blend it longer than 20 seconds, it’ll also make it bitter! I heard the call and I delivered, the perfect boozy ‘Zombie Hors D’oeuvres’ Call up your living dead friends cause they’re about to have a feast. You came to the right place. 🧠Try my Guava Pink Brain Mimosa 🧠 This couldn’t get any simpler all thanks to @fancysprinkles brain mold ice kit, pink shimmery glitter included. For 8 ice cubes, all you need are two cups of water and one sachet of pink edible glitter. Grab your favorite prosecco, brut or in my case cava brut. To a couple glass, add your pink brain ice and slowly pour your bubbles of choice, leaving a little space for guava nectar. To garnish use dried rose petals, it’ll make this mimosa shine even more. Pro tip: you can even add the dried rose petals to the ice mold as well! So raise your glass and let’s enjoy the spooky season together. It’s time to wake up the witches, only one sip o It’s time to wake up the witches, only one sip of The Witch Reviver Spritz should do the trick! ✨ 👻 🥂First spooky spritz of the season hits different and this one is dark and moody, perfect for the time 👻🥂 Gather your ingredients: cava brut, cherry juice and sparkling water - I used blueberry Topo Chico with a hint of hibiscus, for more depth of flavor. A touch of edible black glitter in the cherry juice should achieve the color we need. Throw it all in your cauldron… pardon me, wine glass 😬, over ice. Pour cava brut, fill a syringe with cherry juice (jazzed it up in black edible glitter, of course), add that to the glass and top off with blueberry sparkling water and voilà! 🪻 Looking for a new way to try an old-fashioned 🪻 Looking for a new way to try an old-fashioned?! 🪻 I got you covered with my Lavender Tequila spin on the classic! I’ve been dying to create this delightful twist. The smooth, earthy notes of tequila with the calming, aromatic essence of lavender creates an amazing sipping experience. The traditional old-fashioned cocktail is perfect as is, but bourbon is not everyone’s cup of tea, so this combo of ingredients offers a more approachable introduction to this classic. The lavender sugar cubes I used gave the cocktail its gorgeous hue without having to add any other coloring ingredient, to avoid any pieces of the flowers going in your drink, strain it over ice but before you do that, make sure all the sugar is dissolved. This is a great way to introduce a spirit forward cocktail to that friend who doesn’t like darker liquors 😉 Cheers to a calm rest of the week (hopefully 😝). And speaking of foam, my favorite go-to milk frother is made by @maestrihouse and unlike regular frothers that need constant batteries change, theirs is rechargeable, so no more worrying about forgetting to get new batteries and having to go without a nice foam for your drink. The frother is eco-friendly and sooo easy to use and when not in use, just prop it on the metal stand that comes with, it’ll make a nice accent piece by any coffee bar! ✨The perfect way to start a new week is with a r ✨The perfect way to start a new week is with a riff on a sour.✨ To avoid too much suspense, the riff is that I’m changing the traditional bourbon for a rye on my take (just like I did with my apple Manhattan last week, check it out 😉). The sweetness of the peach balanced with a sharp, dry rye makes for a surprisingly complex twist on a traditional sour aaaaaand I liked it. I’m 100% a bourbon girl but I didn’t want to make this sour too sweet so I decided to offset the inherent sweetness of the peach with the distinct dryness of the rye, it came out perfect. 🥃 So, if you’ve been skipping the sours because they’re just too sweet, try this twist. 🍑Peach Rye Sour🍑 2oz Rye (my choice was @elijahcraig) 1oz Peach Juice 1/2oz Lemon Juice 1/2oz Blood Orange Simple 1 egg white Dry shake, then add ice and shake again. Apples in drinks are finally an acceptable choice, Apples in drinks are finally an acceptable choice, right? Even if you answered ‘no’ I’m still gonna do it anyways because I’ve been waiting for all the fall cocktails and they’re starting to pop up on my feed. I had to start with a riff on a beloved classic, by using bourbon instead of rye on my Manhattan, I’m adding another layer of sweetness to this cocktail, making it a much softer sip than the traditional way. Btw, I’m seeing lots of Manhattans being made with bourbon and I’m all for it (hi, bourbon girl here 😉). If you prefer your drink to have a little bit of a kick to it, than of course, rye is the way to go!
